This past Saturday was the Clearwater MM Poker Run. I think there were about a dozen or so boats all told. Smaller than last year's turnout. This year I knew several of the boaters from the prior year. The poker run part was OK, but where the real fun happened was the water wars that sprung from the Run.

MM had a chase boat out on the water. The captain of the boat was wearing dreadlocks and a shirt with a target. The goal was to squirt the captain with a water gun of some sort and collect beads. The highest bead count won a prize. What ended up happening was that at each stop there would be a half a dozen boats jockeying for position and a battle between the boats broke out. Our boat clearly had the best weaponry with a range of about 70 feet.

We had longer "rifle" type guns and smaller guns. The rifle-type guns could be refilled by leaning overboard but the smaller guns required us to keep a 5 gallon bucket on board as an ammo bucket. Unfortunately for some of the unsuspecting boaters that had to close the 70' to get us wet that ammo bucket became a napalm bucket! Good fun was had by all.

Now before the replies about water and electronicsw don't mix and don't I think it was bad manners to drop water on someone elses boat, we did not chase anyone down who was not interested in participating. But once you closed the gap, lookout baby!

Next year is going to require something a little more sophisticated. Something with a pump that mounts on the bow and/or stern table leg with a 150' range out to do...:wow:

Sorry, no pictures. Lost my camera at this event last year so I didn't bring the replacement. We had four jacks and didn't even place. Go figure. The other boats women must have had bigger @#$@# than our women. Yes indeed, that was how this one was won...
