Noticed the trim endcap on the aft port side is missing leaving two nice sized holes through the side of the boat.

1) assuming the boat was run in this condition likely they were submerged at least momentarily by seawater - what potential damage could I be looking at if any?

2) repair suggestions (I have a replacement endcap piece)?

I have the exact same problem, except I also have a large divot out of the gelcoat/fiberglass there too. Need to fill with epoxy and find a new cap. Did you get the replacement cap from the dealer, or somewhere else?

The replacement obviously was in another searay at one point and came from my detailer who just happened to have it lying around. It looks like the posts have fingers of sorts that are supposed to keep it from pulling back out - they are mostly gone on this one so my repair is going to have to involve a filler/sealer/adhesive that will really grab it. Just need some suggestions on how to do it and ensure there are no voids when it dries under the cap.

ive got the same problem , but im missing the other side, its pretty high on the hull , shouldnt really be a water problem
