Anyone had their fuel inlets miss labeled from the factory?

Ours are; on the port side STARBOARD is PORT.

Easy fix...get new labels & afix properly.

FYI..this is the same side that had the miss painted bottom job from the factory. Guess the labeling & painting guy took a header earlier in life.

Sometime in the future I'll experiment with the starboard side inlets to see if they're miss labeled too.

Mine were not labeled on my '05 340. My slip neighbor's '06 340 has the port side fuel fillers labeled STBD on the fwd one and PORT on the aft filler. As he is "port side to" me, I haven't looked at his STBD side filler labels, but I will this weekend and report back to you. My STBD fillers are not labeled either...

Chris R....Ok, I give. What is the right set up? I'll have to go look after I get the answer :)

I'm sure someone at SR had a plan but I'd confirm current labeling with a fill test.

If the boat has saddle tanks, why would they put both on one side, instead of placing the fill for each tank on the side it's located?

To be clear, we have both fill inlets on each side of the boat (a total of 4 altogether). I know some will ask, "why?" All I know is it is extremely convenient to not have to worry about which side you want to pull up to the fuel dock on. For example, one of the places we go is very tight- and depending on what size boat is at the main dock, we may have to pull into a slip to refuel next to the dock. No biggee except that I don't have to think about which side my intlets are on.

My big nit to pick with the whole thing is that I cannot balance my fuel tanks. I'm not one to fill all the way to to the top risking a spill; thus, I do some math and calculate how much to put in each tank in order to have them similar.
