Misleading Craigslist Ad?

Wakeboarding Boat - $5800 (Lebanon)

Its a 1985 Century CTS with 350 Merc true inboard engine. Stainless 4 blade prop, Monster tower with board racks and kicker speakers. Has a 500 watt Sony amp driving the tower speakers so its plenty loud when your boarding behind the boat. The motor was replaced about 4 years ago for $3,300, and it has only about 80 hours on it. I can be reached at nine 37-477-0200 by call or text. I will add pictures later but can send one from phone if you want. Would like to just sell but will consider a trade. I would like to get a UTV, side by side, or a smaller diesel tractor. The only other boat I would consider on trade is a 18'-22' pontoon.

False advertising? Was there even wakeboarding boats in 1985? :huh:

probably added the tower, I don't think it's a fake ad per say, but I do think it's probably a real POS, no where in that ad does he list the overall condition. any time anyone brags about the stereo more then anything else I usually see it as a red flag. just think how many beat up crap honda civics have you seen with booming stereo's on the road?

Don't forget the fancy rims with low profile tires........usually worth more than the car itself!

Saw one of these YEARS ago... it's a ski boat - there's barely any deadrise. But, I suppose adding a tower turns it magically into a wakeboard boat. But, it is indeed a real inboard (no outdrive). Never got it out on the water, but it looks to be a pretty light boat and with the flat back end I bet it's got a killer pull out of the hole.
