I'm interested in any information on Michigan EQY props. They were installed on many new Sea Rays and some even have a Sea Ray part number. From what I've found they are supposed to be a step up from the Michigan DQX props and have camber that the DQXs don't. A Sea Ray dealer said the PN I gave him was for a 550 Sedan Bridge with 800 HP MANs. Looking at specs, the 550 is very similar to my Ocean 53 SS and I'm considering purchasing some EQYs and am looking for any negative and favorable comments or any other info.

I have looked into Veem and they are probably my first choice if the EQYs aren't suitable. I've found a set of used EQY's that are 1/2 the cost. I haven't done a full due diligence on them, but wanted to know what others thought before a full investigation. I had HyTorqs that are supposedly 2 steps down from the EQYs and was getting 26/27 kts out of them. I'd be happy with that or whatever improvement comes along. I just don't think my boat will do much better than 28/29 at cruise even with Veems.
