Anyone else going to the show?

We are heading down to South Florida on Friday and will attend the Miami Boat Show on Saturday and Sunday along with the crowds of tourists. We will probably spend the early part of Saturday at the convention center looking at toys for the new boat. By the end of the day we will end up at Collins Ave for the Sea Ray in water display to get a look at what we missed by buying a model year 2006 leftover versus a 2007.

Not going but would love to! If only I could get someone to pay for it that would solve the problem!
Seriously though, hope you have an absolutely great time. Believe me if you love the 2006 SB you bought then you missed nothing by buying a leftover except less cash in your bank account which is a good thing.
If you think of it and are by the Trio Marine (Cruiser Yachts etc) display, stop in and say high to Mike Egan a really nice guy I met up north here at a few boat shows last year. Also, while at the Sea Ray display (Actually I think the Azimut display) stop in and say hi to Mike O'Rourke for me, Mike Ojeda from Marinemax/SS3 in Lindenhurst. Another nice guy from Huntington, N.Y. Marinemax.
Have a wonderful time and Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy! I'm jealous!!!

BTW, your boat looks fantastic!!!! Do you have any more pics to share?

If the snow misses us, we will leave in the morn, otherwise Thursday morning. I'm stopping in Hilton Head at the boat for 2 days and then 3 days at the boatshow. Then were flying home March 3rd

I will only dream about going...  It is supposed to get into the single digits the next few nights in Missouri... :smt009

I'm going on the 18/19th.

Will 2 days give me a fairly good chance of seeing alot of things without having to rush through everything?

Steve,

You will see a lot in 2 days. The show has 3 "official" locations. One dedicated to sailboats which I have never visited. The other 2 locations are of interest - The main show is at the Miami Beach Convention Center with lots of the small to mid size boats and oodles of equipment, fishing gear, accessories, etc. There is an admission charge for the convention center.

The in water part at the Sea Isle Marina is free and has lots of boats. Also, the unofficial site is along Collins Ave. This is where Sea Ray has their main in water display. There are also other new boats and a mile or more of brokerage boats. (also free)

Last year I walked the docks early in the morning, before the crowds and took notes on which boats I wanted to spend time looking at. Then, when the show opened, I was able to maximize my time by moving quickly, only looking at specific boats.

I did the convention center in less than a full day and used the late afternoon to ogle the yachts along Collins Ave.

Jennifer and I had planned to attend the show -- we were SO excited about experiencing the big Sea Ray party. When penny-pinching Sea Ray cancelled the gig :smt017 we cancelled our flight and opted for the Seattle Boat Show instead. Maybe next year if Thrifty Co doesn't disappoint us again.

Am leavning Detroit in a few hours to go to Miami Boat Show, so will skip the Detroit Show this year.

Of course the first year I finally go, they cancel the SRO Club VIP party.
