I have a Mercruiser 5.0 in a 2002 Sea Ray. I will be cruising at about 3,500 RPM’s and the engine will just shut off. No warning or alarm will go off. I can then restart the boat and throttle up to 3,500 RPM's it will happen again. I then ran the boat at 3,000 RPM’s and it was fine all the way back to the dock. Over the past few years, it will happens from time to time. Could it be a sensor or something with the wiring or compter?
