Hi. I decided it was time to upgrade from a 3 blade to a 4 blade prop. I decided that the Alpha-4 Mercruiser 4-blade prop was right for my budget. I used eBay and ordered a brand new one for my Alpha-1 sterndrive.

It arrived. I inserted the brand new flo-torque 2 hub and installed it. Something didn't look right. In fact, something looked the opposite of right; something looked LEFT.

I was a little eager and I'd not noticed that the prop was left-handed rotation when I'd ordered.

So, I have a brand-new LEFTHANDED Mercruiser Alpha-4, 4-bladed propeller (Aluminum) for sale. It has the Flo-Torque II hub kit installed in it, and it has been installed once on the drive. There is a small scratch in the center of the hub from the edge of my wrench, acquired during installation. Blades are perfect.

Prop size: 15" x 16"

I paid $130 for the prop and $55 for the hub. I'll take $150 for it, plus shipping (from zip code 02852).

"Alpha 4The Alpha 4 aluminum propeller provides four-blade performance and acceleration at an affordable price. The Alpha 4 is an outstanding propeller for stern drive-powered runabouts, as well as cruisers. With an Alpha 4, your boat will get on plane quicker and stay on plane at lower speeds than with a comparable three-blade propeller. The Alpha 4 is also an excellent water sports prop.

  • Available in 16-, 18- and 20-pitch
  • Right-hand and left-hand rotation
  • Fits outboards (135hp and above), Alpha and Bravo One stern drives
  • Recommended for inline 4, V6- and V8-powered stern drives."

Will take a best offer on this. I'd like to clear out some of the items in my garage before winter hits - need to start parking my Jeep there again.
