Mercruiser 350 mag Trim Fault

Getting a FAULT - TRIM warning on my smart craft guage in my 240sd (350 Mag. Bravo 3). Noticed the trim tank in the back was just under the "needs filled" line (although i can see where to add trim fluid?). Also, had my bellows changed this year so out drive was off (maybe sender wasnt put back on cortectly?). Could one of these be trowing that fault?

Fluid level will not. If sensor was moved during service work, or not plugged back in correctly, that could.

Is that just a sensor or will my trim not actually "trim"?

Depends. My old boat, the trim position switch would shut off the trim pump at the up position. My current boat, does not. Same engines, same drives.
