We took 5 boats, 26 people(11 adults, 15 kids) to Jones Island for the Memorial day weekend. We had great weather after we launched the boats in the middle of a hailstorm.
Once we got to Jones, it is first come first serve, so we were lucky to have a couple boats willing to allow the first 3 of us boats to raft up.

By day two we owned the dock.

It was a great time and the water was flat calm the entire time.

You mean that Lil itty bitty container? I expected so much more from you Todd. :)

Well those were out and there was a bag. We didn't take advantage as we should have to put pots down. We'll be going to BC later this month and in July again where we can do some more shrimping. If we get some I'll post pics.

Nice time had by all it looks like. Here are a few pictures from our Memorial Day celebrating the meaning of the day. We had a ceremony to honor the fallen and the crosses represent foreign cemetaries with counts for our lost soldiers in them. Notice the families that came from their homes to watch this. There was not a dry eye in the fleet! 105.jpg.075.jpg.104.jpg.080.jpg

Here are a few more pictures. Notice the sailboat mast without the boat! Never connect your water hose, turn it on then go back to the house and fall aslnormal_IMG_0049~1.jpge057.jpgenormal_IMG_0099.jpgp061.jpg!073.jpg

Yeah, they did a great job putting it together. It's nice to see people still honor those who make all of our fun possible.

Todd, you must have a "blue chairs only" rule. Looks like you had fun.

Ken, great pics and love the one with all the flags on the bows.
