Okay, I admit I may have dreamed this, but I am almost sure a ran across something about distance markings for ones rode, some color pattern or something.

I am not interested in some paste threads about members no longer who are here at CSR, just to information about whether there is such a thing as USCG requirement?

I have done some searching and I cannot find any information.

Maybe I misread something, who knows?

Thanks

There is no regulation for this. The markings are for your benefit, so you know how much scope you have. I bought a package of plastic markers and they went in 10' increments...Ric

Not only do they not require the markings, they don't even require the anchor, itself.

Kat - where did you get your plastic markers? Were they made for marking anchor rodes, or did you adapt them?

I've seen them at WM

At West Marine the markers are good for every 30 feet. Simple to install and around $10.

That's Ohio, I think? Laws vary from from state to state, but the USCG doesn't require it.
