Maui fires

There were all of those strange space lasers a few months back.
 
The fires and devastation in Lahaina are not because of global warming or climate change or any other political hot topic words of the day. It all was a climax of bureaucratic incompetence.

The fires were made possible to happen due to the states failure to provide any level of responsible forestry service.

The fires started because the basic infrastructure was neglected and they failed to maintain it properly to prevent things like downed, energized power lines which created the spark for the fuel to ignite.

The Governor of Hawaii said that "Fire Hurricanes are created by Climate Change"..... adding another example to the biggest political SCAM of the last 100 years known as: Climate Change.

That's his only "out" to escape accountability for the criminal negligence to maintain infrastructure and provide basic forestry management.
 
My wife and I went to Maui for our Honeymoon and spent some time in Lahaina. We wanted our girls to see it so we just took them there in April. We have a pic of them under the Banyan tree and had some great meals there. So said it is all gone now. It will be rebuilt to todays building codes so gone will be the old charm.

I feel like burning a tire every time a politician blames an event on " Climate Change"

Some of the artwork around the house I acquired from Lahaina Galleries on Maui; I'm glad they are here and not in an ash pile..... The best to those that have to rebuild.

We also bought a couple of small paintings and they boxed and shipped them to our home the last time we were there. Unfortunately, the town will never be the same even when rebuilt.

Interesting (in a good way) to hear (read) from those who have a connection to this. Thank you for your comments.
 
It's been 15 years since I was in Lahaina, so I didn't really remember what it all looked like. I found this video on YT, and watched it while following along in Google Maps street view:

I have nothing to compare to. This is sad, tragic, like a war and/or tornado.
