This is my husband's territory. I'll have to ask. They are big. They are powerful. They take diesel.
Hello All!

We just purchased a 2002 Sea Ray Sedan Bridge 48'! We're SO EXCITED!!!

As a "boat warming" gift, my Mom offered to make sheet sets for the V-berth and VIP staterooms. Both have full-size beds.

We live in Dallas and our boat is being kept in Houston, so, unfortunately, I cannot get to the boat to measure the mattresses. I've google'd and searched but can't find anything.

Does anyone have a similar boat that you have easy access to and also have a pen, paper and tape-measure handy? If so, I would TRULY appreciate it!

Thank you so much,

Cindy B

Templates anyone? lol,lol,lol

Welcome Cindy, but its not that simple.

I just replaced my mattress and if measuring was only that easy. Good luck.

Ohhh, DD--- what do you mean? Is it because of the funny shape? As you can tell, I am new at all of this. I apologize if my question is a real stupid one! :smt021

I appreciate the reply!

In the 44DA the matress is shaped strange and not as thick as a real matress.

The fitted sheet is shaped hexadongleed :) and the regular sheet is just a regular sheet.

I would wait until you in person. Also, I don't like how hard it is, so I am going to be getting some foam for it, so you might want to consider this as well for thickness.

AM... thank you! Also, I am hijacking my own thread but what does "DA" mean? I've been reading various posts and threads and have seen "DA" and "DB" regarding specific Sea Rays, and I don't know what it stands for.

All the best,

Cindy

I had the same question and some thought I was weird for not knowing.. oh well. DA is the Dancer and DB is the Bridge boat.

Thank you for the definitions!

*I* don't think you're weird! :)

Not stupid but yes the funny shapes. Templates will need to be made for precise fit if thats what you really want. Is your mom up to this work? Lots of sizes on your boat.

DA=Sundancer
DB=Sedan Bridge
EC=Express Cruiser
AJ=Amberjack
SD=Sundeck
AC=Aft Cabin
EB=Express Bridge

Did I miss any?? Memorize this as there will be a quiz on Friday. NOT open-book.

The only dumb questions are those not asked!

Welcome and congrats on your purchase. Have you met Gary? I'm certain he'd be thrilled to go measure his mattress for you!

Ron- nearly spit my Coke out all over my keyboard... :)

Ron and tobnpr,

Thanks for the replies and for the "codes". However, I feel like I'm missing out on an inside joke -- that's ok. I won't be a newbie forever! :)

I appreciate everyone's help here! I'm so glad I joined!

All the best,

Cindy
