Just wondering how the initial claims are going? Minor damage? Catastrophic damage? Etc and how your insurance company is doing? Always a concern of mine in the back of my head.....if I need it will I get a hassle.....share your stories here and be sure and include your name of your insurance company weather good or bad so we can all learn something.

I am currently going through a nightmare with PREMIERE MARINE.... Our boat (in our boathouse) was broke into over Thanksgiving. Personal effects, stereos, amps. speakers, TV's, dive gear, DINGHY. tools, etc. The thieves thought it was easier to remove a dresser drawer than empty the contents. The Birds Eye Maple laminate made by Vitracore is no longer available so I got bid to re-laminate the entire stateroom so the new drawer matches. The ins. co. now has brought a 2nd adjuster who is also an Attorney. So all she is doing is explaining the legal terminology of the policy to me justifying why PRIEMERE can screw me........ The fight is not over yet, as I have thrown out the drawer can match with a piece of laminate harvested from the aft stateroom closet door if you compensate me for the devaluation of my vessel.

Mark, good luck with the insurance company fight. It's been my experience that none of them want to even discuss devaluation because it's not something you can prove. Even on cars and trucks.

When you get all done with them and the boat is all fixed and you're ready to switch insurance companies give me a PM and I'll let you know who I am with. With all the repairs that had to be done following our runaway starter motor, they've just stepped up to the plate, paid the bills and I could not be happier with them.
