Hey Buddy, feel your pain, I’m trying not to make this to long, years ago went to practice with a bunch of friends, best tickets we could get, not sure of the hole, dog leg left just before the par 3 they all try to skip during practice, Mickelson on the dog leg left sees myself and friends plus others about 15 in total and comes over to shake hands, sign hats, you get it, young man he was paired with says “Phil their waiting on us” he says it’s F@#$ing practice they can wait. VERY nice guy, I always pull for him, he and the Queen born same day, same year. He’s a house favorite.

I asked why is Mickelson playing in the Masters ?….. so it’s clear it’s not Augusta. It’s now must be the media broadcasting it….. they are supporting the pga players and ignoring LIV

Yep, Augusta was a class act when I was there (I’m sure still is) they don’t play if your the nail that sticks up on the deck, but nowhere else could you get a pimento cheese sandwich, chips and a beer for $5, (this was at least 10ya)

Well they're showing Koepka, kind of hard to avoid. I've been a huge fan of Mickelson since Payne Stewert beat him at the US Open. The man is a magician with a wedge in his hand. Mickelson is the real deal. There was an offensive lineman that played for the ST. LOUIS Cardinals named Conrad Dobler. After football he started a successful business and the his wife got MS. He gave up everything to take care of her. About 15 years or so ago there was a newspaper story about how he was full time caring for his wife and only had his pension to live off. He lamented that his daughter would have to take out loans to pay for college at IU. A week later a check arrived at Indiana University sufficient to cover her tuition and room and board for 4 tears. It was an anonymous donation. Dobler wouldn't let it go, he was so touched. He finally traced it back to Phil. They didn't know each other at all. Phil saw the story, called IU to get the cost, and wrote the check, If not for Dober's persistence no one would have even known. Hell of a guy.

I've seen most of the LIV golfers on the coverage. Johnson wasn't getting much but he's flaming out. Reed isn't getting much but nobody likes a cheater. Mickelson was on the espn+ coverage along with Cam Smith. They can't help but show Koepka a lot. Of course Tiger gets tv time. He moves the needle. But I've thought they've gotten decent coverage. Speith and Morikawa haven't gotten much more tv time than Mickelson.

Yikes, 0830!?! My dog isn’t even up yet, Queen is still in MD with the family, so I’m sleeping in, we’ll see what the stats are about 1000. Kids are coming over to keep the “old guy” company while the Queen is gone so no boat. But it will be on one of my TV’s. Good thread Blueone!

The weather has played hel- with tournament, but there has been very little screen time for Phil, which is very suspect after he won major a few years ago, can’t remember which tournament, but a huge fan fav….

Totally disagree…Speith at the end of round 2 and beginning of 3…. and Morikowa were full time in the rotation

I saw a post about the Masters refreshments. Pimento cheese sandwich was $1.50 and a beer was $5.00. Not sure about the chips but I think the meal is under $10.

Dobler was tough, relentless, I remember him caring for his wife full time. Didn’t know the rest, ty for sharing

I have always been a Phil fan. He was the reason I started putting Titleist in my bag. I don't have cable, so no coverage Thursday or Friday. Yesterday I had to Google to find out what the fuck was going on. Phil was doing great but no coverage. Seems ESPN did the same thing. With Phil being the most visible face of LIV, no doubt in my mind CBS is doing it just to cater to the PGA tour. So I'm blaming Nantz

I guess I am old and set in my ways, and am a pga junkie, But I hate the Liv tour, I was always a phil fan, and koepka was my new favorite, loved Johnson, and now dont get to see them except for a few events a year. I know liv pays appearance fees, but I hate not seeing the best week in and week out
