While performing maintenance on my '98 Dancer with Horizon engines, I removed the plenum to access the spark arrestors. I figured that while I was there, I would clean the MAS. To my surprise, I could not locate one. These are fuel injected engines, and to my knowledge, all have some type of sensor to monitor air flow. Now I'm even more confused than usual.

No need to remove the plenum to clean your spark arrestor. The MAP and TPS run the show.

Go to mercury.com...punch in your engine number..and all the parts will be available for you to veiw

Thanks for your reply. On my engines, the exhaust hose prevents removing the arrestor.
