I can't believe your boat is still there for a 20 hour service. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that though. There is no excuse for that. Did you get the invite to the Marker 1 party that is Friday August 3rd?

Yes I keep forgeting to bring it up to the wife I'd like to go but she normally says no to those things so we will see.

Well I did have the boat for 48 hours but took it back because of things they missed so it will be in the show room again once they complete the mistakes.
 
Well the wife has agreed to go, only requirement is she gets a new outfit.

Time to RSVP.

what time is the cocktail party?

i might swing by, and check on my boat whilst i'm there.

i hope it doesn't require anything more than shorts and dock shoes. if so, maybe i can innocently wander in after looking after my boat. :thumbsup:

It was an RSVP event, I was told nice shorts and shirt no t-shirts

6:30pm to 10pm

I'm only going cause it's free and I wanna see how you rich people have things. :grin:

Oh well I'm pretty sure I saw your boat the GT sticker was coming off looks like you need a new one. It was nice to see your boat clean and shinny there seems to be alot of boats there that need some care. Very nice Docks. To rich for my blood $190,000 for a 35' wet slip with lift almost as much as my hosue.

Someone won the $50,000 boat it actually kinda sucked cause it was like the 10th person that rolled the dice I didn't even get to role.

my daughter had a last-minute invite to, what else, play in a softball tourney this weekend in bradenton, and the team had batting practice tonight.

so, i spent my night in one of my high schools fantasies - sweating my brains out with about 10 16 year old girls. funny, it doesn't do much but make me cranky now. :smt015

i was told my slip was selling for $385. geeze. :smt089
 
Great looking boat ylwjacket. I've never been to the marina down at Marker 1 and it's a great Marina, but are they crazy trying to sell slips for 300 or 400k? The party was ok, but wasn't very organized and we didn't see any food at all. We left about 8:30 or so because we were starving and went to the pig to eat in ozona. Well it looks like a beautiful Saturday and need to cut the grass then head out on the boat. I hope I don't wake anyone up cutting the grass.........Oh well it is boating season. :smt038

i think they are a bit crazy myself, but i guess that people buy them, so who's crazy, the seller or the buyer?

i think people will get smoked on resale. i just can't imagine reselling those slips at those prices. comparable slips on clwtr beach go for half that price.

it is a nice marina, with nice people around there. it's very well maintained, just a little pricey.

Yes it is, 385,000 I heard how the whole thing went down... they basically told you to BUT OR GET OUT! which kinda sucks for you.

I guess we missed meeting each other, since I don't know what you look like or your name :grin:

I didn't stay very long either. Yes very unorganized. I got there about 6:20pm and went in the side door not even realizing there was a front door where you were suppose to register to get your ticket and name tag untill I'd already seen everything.

There was food it was they people were just piging it down to fast.

My wife couldn't go cause of work so I went alone. It looked like a bunch of rich high price hookers there with no class people were scarfing the food down before it could make it from the building where they were heating it in toaster ovens to the tent.

I haven't been told that. But, once my slip sells, I am at the mercy of the new owner. I'll probably leave then, just because they will want more than the already crazy high price I pay to keep the boat there every month.
 
Yea when I saw the prices they are asking for the slips I was telling my buddy I'd rather buy a condo on the water where slips are available. 385,000 just for a dang wet slip give me a break. Whoever came up with that idea must have been smoking something. Some people that own boats aren't rich and just middle class everyday americans that love boating.
 
drop that kind of money on my neighbrohood and you get a 2000+ sqft house along with the 75 feet of water front to park the boat.

theres a lot of marina projects in limbo right now and i think that Marker 1 will be another one that will probably go belly up just like Imperal marina and what appears to be happening over at bayside.

I hope I'm wrong but i just don't see folks willing to dish out 300+ grand for a hole in the water when the whole economy is on a down ward cycle. sure it will come back but it may take serveral years.
