Has anyone had any experience purchasing and using products bought from MarineBeam?

I have bought LED lamps and swapped out my halogen 12v lights. No issues what so ever.

I have replaced many of the 12v cabin light bulbs with LED Equivalent. I used all whites some warm tones and in galley brighter cooler tone. I kept all original lighting fixtures everything works well.

I’ve bought a few things from MB. I find them to be more expensive than other sources (superbrightleds.com is my go to, first). But they sometimes have what others don’t. I’ve had only positive experience with them.

I’ve purchased from MarineBeam quite a few times with no issues. They used to offer a 10% discount using the code SeaRay at checkout. Not sure if that’s still valid.

I have bought many G4 and Festoon LED’s, from MarineBeam - Good quality. I have no experience with their fixtures. Looking forward to hearing positive things about the product you are considering. I may follow suit.

I have purchased all my LED's from them. They are a little more expensive but they are top quality. I have never had one go bad. My cockpit lights are left on 24/7/365 and have been for 7 years and still going strong.

I have purchased two boats worth of LEDs from them. I also think they have a very good product even though they are a little pricy, never have had one go bad.

I always amazes me that someone will spend multiple thousands of dollars on a boat, spend a multiple boat bucks on upgrading their navigation or communication electronics, adding SeaDek or other upgrades then cheap out for a few measly dollars on cheap China LEDs on Amazon instead of purchasing from a vendor the specializes in Marine LED... SMH.

The anti-China sentiment is high with this one! :)

If you're talking nav lights, I would agree. In fact, nav, running, anchor and other exterior lights are the applications where I have used Marinebeam because they have the products that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. But for interior cabin lighting and other "non-wet" places there is no reason to overspend. And I'd be surprised if the LED's and circuit boards used in products bought from Marinebeam aren't made off-shore.

Nah, I could edit the comment to say "Cheap LEDs on Amazon" for the same meaning. It just so happens most of those LEDs are from China.

I own a boat worth well over $100,000. In my mind, why cheap out on any permanent replacement item? I'm not saying that I do not shop for the best available price for a specific item. But I want to make sure that it is a quality item, without any possible interference with other gear. For my piece of mind MarineBeam is worth the few extra dollars in the grand scheme of things.

Now finding the best deal on beer or other liquid refreshments... count me in!

There are those of us that think buying the bulbs, even from a “quality source “ is cheap and could be potentially dangerous, versus buying the proper fixtures. And double so for navigation lighting.

Most of my fixtures cost very little more than “quality “bulbs.
