Can the MM warranty be traded in for cash? A seller told me he would discount his boat more if he pulled the extended warranty. He is not getting a new boat so what is the extended warranty good for?

I believe you cannot. Not sure I follow correctly. He's offering to lower the price if you decline the warranty? Maybe he's offering the warranty, but hasn't actually purchased it yet until there is a contract in place?

I believe you can sell back the warranty for some amount of money, depending on how long you had it. I know that a few dealers up here offer that when someone trades in their boat, this way they can sell a new warranty rather than have the new owner buy it for $50 from the seller.

He was selling the boat with the warranty for $155k. Without warranty, $152k. He already had purchased this extended warranty.
