Need some opinions.
We are in charge of coming up with a theme for a marina party for a grand reopening.

The marina was completely gutted and rebuilt.
It's at the beginning of March.

If it was closer to St Pat's we could do that...
But I need some ideas!

Anyone?

Thanks!

Toga!!!!!

Seriously though,

There's so many themed options...

You could do a Mardi Gras theme.

You could do the typical Pirate or Nautical type theme.

Themed shindigs are fun! We go to a few of them where we live each year. They seem to be Costume based, Toga and Wife Beater parties!

Good luck!

How about just a costume party theme and leave it open to the people attending to choose their costumes.

What's your new marina like? Is it casual, classy, resort-like, family friendly, beachy, big boats, all size boats? If I'm hanging out at the boat or marina I don't want to be wearing a costume -- I want to be comfy in my boating attire and not deal with a costume... but that's just me.

A theme doesn't need to be costumes necessarily. You could do a pig roast, Italian night, Hawaiian (Hawaiian shirts and lei's, Hawaiian food), tropical island (tan pants, white shirt, rum, island food), Cuban, etc.

Pajama Jam would be fun. I'm thinking back to the theme parties in college now. I guess it depends on the age of the marina members.

A aargh. How about a Pirate Theme!

Casino night is always fun.

Jimmy Buffet, makes the music easy to pick.Hawian is nice also.

I like the Gilligan's Island Theme... Everyone can come as the Millionaire because you have to be a Millionaire to afford the new slips fees of your newly rebuilt marina..

Caddyshack theme! Everyone dresses like Judge Smails or Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield)....
