Marina Advice

I have to put the plug in for my marina... Check out Bill's Yacht Basin on Miller's Island. Its just on the other end of Hart Miller from Middle River, exactly half way through "the cut".

We think it is the best location on the upper Bay. No long no wake zones, easy access to Middle River, BIH, Tolchester (you can see it from the slips), and Annapolis. Not to mention the great view of the Craighill Channel Upper Range light.

Fuel for the car costs a heck of a lot less than boat fuel. Once you get there, you have easy access to everything.

Sure, here you go.......

Oh, you want more detail than that? :smt043

I'll throw in my $.02 and say Bowley's Marina. I'm not sure how it compares cost wise with the others mentioned (I pay about $2,500/year for my 330) but I looked at about every marina in the area when I was trying to decide and thought Bowley's had the nicest "grounds". They have charcoal grills scattered throughout the grounds and several pavillions you can reserve. There's a pool, but it's not as impressive as the one at Chesapeake Yachting Center. The upside to Bowley's as opposed to some of the others is that it's right at the mouth of the Gunpowder so you don't have to deal with a long no-wake zone to get out onto the bay. Even with being so close to the bay, it stays pretty calm in the marina due to the large bulkhead they installed.

Again, just my $0.02.

How is the staff at Bowleys to deal with

They've been fine so far. Everyone has been friendly and responsive and they keep the place in pretty good shape.

I pulled my boat late this past winter, after everything was frozen over and had to wait for a few warm days. As soon as the ice broke up, they got the boat out and made sure to call and let me know it was on blocks.

I've got no complaints.
