How ballcocks work? Where they are
What filters to clean for shower?
How do electric panels work and what breakers do?
The AC Charger crossover... do you leave it on when gone?
HOw does the Clarion Radio work?
WHere is the vaccum dust go to?
Are the heat and AC pumps really loud?
etc ect..... THANKS>>>> First time user...

Scroll down to the Resources section. They don't always have every owners manual and parts manual for every year/model but a lot of them are there. Compared to what's in a car owner's manual I was surprised how thorough they are.

what year 380? If it's 2006-2008, you want to look for the manual for the 2006 Sundancer 38, on the link above. The 2006 manual is the most thorough, and gets shorter each year.

thanks... was hoping for a quick guide to 10 things... but I guess you better know it all with this boat.

Maybe start a new thread with your questions? I just received my boat and have a ton of, what some will consider stupid, questions. Like a step by step guide on how to use the toilet, and the switches in the breaker panel. Which I think I have figured out through trial and error.

Also, I've found youtube to be very helpful, even if the information is not directly specific to your model.

For example:

Here's a generator startup video, although, he skips over that you should switch your transfer switches to generator and turn off the loads before starting the genset. Turn the loads back on after the generator starts.

Your battery charger should be on if you're connected to shore power or if your generator is running.

On my 390, the vacuum bag and pump is under the aft cabin couch.

My AC pump (the water pump) is fairly quiet. The AC itself is pretty loud. The generator makes a slight hum, and the bilge exhaust fans are loud.

I also would like to know how loud the fresh water pump should be, and should it dim the 12v lights while it's pumping? Mine is really loud, and the 12v lights flicker while it's pumping.

Yes, the fresh water pump is loud, at least you know if you have a leak.......during the middle of the night :p.

No, the lights shouldn't flicker and would indicate a battery problem. Might want to load test if batteries are otherwise fully charged.

Does your fresh water pump do a quick cycle every 15-20minutes? Or does that indicate a leak?

This is for a 2000 Sundancer, there is more than one 380, so year and model would help

Where AC filters are?
under the stateroom bed, next to the evaporator, slides up. The other one is in front of the setee, just below the electrical panel
How ballcocks work?
A ball valve that turns water on or off to the engines, genny and AC

Where they are
Engines and genny are in the rear center of the bilge, the AC is the FWD center of the bilge

What filters to clean for shower?
There is a screen if you unscrew the head to the hose, I clean mine at least once a year, and the other faucets also

How do electric panels work and what breakers do?
Two-120v AC and only works if on shore power or genny is on and transfer switch is in right location

The AC Charger crossover... do you leave it on when gone?
I leave my charger on all the time. So if the genny is running or on shore power, she is charging

HOw does the Clarion Radio work?
Not sure, don’t use mine

WHere is the vaccum dust go to?
Out the starboard side, there is a clam shell vent

Are the heat and AC pumps really loud?
Typically
etc ect..... THANKS>>>> First time user...[/QUOTE]
