Inboard Mercruiser 7.4 MPI' with V Drives
I am in the process of changing out my manifolds, spacers, and elbows on our 2000 340 with 7.4 MPI engines. I replaced the the port engine set up with all Mercruiser parts. Getting ready to do the starboard engine next.

My question is if it is ok to use Mercruiser manifolds and elbows but Barr 3” spacers. I used Mercruiser spacers on the port side since I got them for a great price. However now the going rate for Mercruiser vs Barr spacers is nearly twice the price. I don’t mind spending the money if it truly makes a difference, but don’t want to spend it unnecessarily if it isn’t necessary. Plenty of other things to spend it on with a 18 yr old boat. What do y’all think.

I used Bar risers this year. Parts fit well and were very similar to the OEM risers I put on in 2012. I feel the quality is good, will know in 5 years.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll go with Barr.
