MAN V12s

Guys , hello... I was just being a power head hoping for V12s hahaha @1850 RPMs my fuel burn varies between 18-20gph . I can actually dial it in... To around 17.5 GPH remember Gents I have German made Engines so my fuel burn is in liters, so I must do a conversion 1 liter=.2642 gallons. I watch my fuel burn closely and I very seldom run those twins above 2100RPMs there's just no need. The 900s would be a great engine to run in my boat , love to cruise at a lower RPM but a little quicker in speed. I do love the way my boat takes off, 1300RPMs and you swear there's a jet engine down there the turbos spool up and I'm gone.....Are the 900s enough for a 580DB , I don't know....

So u actually do burn a bit less then the qsm 11 yet still go a little faster. . Interesting. .

What a coincidence that this thread popped up, they just completed the first of my 2 new installs for the winter.
And are shipping them here so I can have the fastest 500 DB on the Island!!!!! Here's the first one heading to the shipyard.

THAT wonderful sound is one I can relate to. My turbo's really start to spool up around 1350 and by 1500 they've already launched and we're gaining altitude. Err, I mean we're coming up on plane.

"What in the world could that possibly be for?"

Another marine application in the 700-900 foot range. Engine room pics of large slow turning diesels don't do the engines justice as they are 3-4 decks high!!
