I am replacing the curtains on my enclosure on our 480SB. I am putting Makrolon on the front three panels, the center panel will open. There is not enough room for the side panels to attach to the hardtop on the starboard side due to the radar display. This would limit having the sides to in or out. If we go with Stataglass we could roll them up.

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Makrolon is great, IF, you don't need to roll up the panels.

I replaces our above the windshiels panels with it 3 years ago and it still looks like the day we put it up. We had one panel cut close to the edge of the sheet that began to craze, and MAkrolon handled the complete repair including the labor...........I have no complaints, other than the cost.........it is expensive.

.

You actually put your panels on the outside top of the hard top?

I just did new strataglass all the way around. The one nice thing about the hardtop and the windshield frame is the strataglass is *very* tight between the two and there are really no distortions in it. My sundancer eisenglass was no where near as tight but it went up to a canvas top so I don't think you could tighten the fit the same... just an observation. I also take my canvas off from time to time and store it under the port stateroom bed and a hard panel would not work if you store it on the boat (no room to store it flat).

I've seen the hard/Markalon stuff on a couple of boats on my dock and it is very very nice...

I'm not familiar with the Markrolon, however my buddy used Barret, which I believe is similar on his 48 and they set up asliding track for the side windows, works vey well maybe they could do the same. Bob
