Makes you wonder !.

Tough to keep the bow tied.

Yeah I bet... interesting how different things are across the country. We had a 56 V Carver move into the Marina this spring, he had to end tie until they built his 60' slip.
We are looking at SR 310 dancers so we are having to move from a 26' slip to a 32'er (the 2000 310DA is 33'10"). Marina said only 2' hang out; I think it's because of the Marina lay-out, its pretty narrow between some of the docks.

My 310 is in a 40' slip. It just makes it inside the boundary. Have several at the marina that stick out 2ish feet.

Most places around here charge based on the advertised size of the boat, not the actual LOA.

Opposite in my marina, they will physically measure your boat and put you in a slip to match. For me, my 320 measures 35'6" from end of bow to edge of swim step, I am in a 35' slip, and my marina allows 3' of slip overhang.

I pay for the size slip I'm in. My 310 DA fills up a "40-foot slip". Guess I should measure the slip. :smt101
