She's so perty...

Good Luck!!!!

Sharp looking John. Good luck. Is she in Bedwell Harbour there?

The boat's at the Sea Ray dealer now. They're looking after the sale now so I had a nice long chat with the service manager. That dealer there sold it new, installed all the accessories and have the service history. So he gave me thumbs up regarding the previous owner. An added bonus... it has a year and a bit mechanical warranty left on it. Other than a small amount of engine compartment detailing (a little rust around a couple screws, some dirt and dust bunnies... ) it's really clean. All the life-jackets, safety gear, galley stuff... it's all un-opened in plastic still.
ok... I'm excited so excuse me for rambling!
Some stuff that I really liked;
* RIB and 6hp 4 stroke merc have about an hour on them.
* Webasto diesel furnace has 4 outlets including defrost... and they mounted a nice aluminum tank with deck fill instead of a portable day tank... a nice tidy install there.
* 2 fridges is always handy... haha... really handy!
* Speaking of which... other than stocking the fridge and topping up the tank... I couldn't think of anything the boat 'needs' to be ready to go.

ok... the bad...
* The macerator discharge is a little close to the water intake on the starboard engine. Note to self; use macerator when moving or shut engine off to avoid possible crappy engine :)
* It was raining cats and dogs while I was there and the canvas had a leak on the seam on the front of the arch... I think a dab of sealer would fix it.
* The anchor is a cheap looking galvanized unit... I'm sure it works fine but the whole boat has polished stainless. It stands out as ugly sitting at a focal point... I'll find something prettier if I get the boat.

ok ok... I'll go talk to someone else about it now :)
Thank you for listening :)

Just my opinion but if you put fenders on the bow it will hinder the beautiful lines.
A boat that size should have room to store the fenders.

Otherwise BEAUTIFUL!!!!:smt038

Yeah... no kidding... those holders suit some boats but not a 290. It's impractical to have them up there as well... aspecially if the canvas is on. There's storage under all the seats... I'd find room for them in the cockpit.
I'd also have a black canvas cover made for the Sea-wise davit winch... I think it's an eye-sore too when the RIB is off.

Sounds like a great boat.

A few question regarding the Webasto diesel furnace
Was that factory install or dealer; where is it mounted and how is it vented? Did they tie into the factory installed ducting or run additional ducting for distribution?

That's a really nice option that I might be interested in adding to my boat.

Thanks
Jeff

What size is the Dinghy? Nice boat.

Good news!!!!!!!!!
Got the call last night... it's mine!
They came back with a very reasonble counter offer so I said I'll take it. They already purchased a new boat so there's the motivation to sell this one.
Jeepers... I never pictured this when I first started rowing around my first little wooden dinghy... wow! :)!

Congratulations..
