Hey folks,
SO this afternoon, I've gone cover to cover 3 times on my Sea Ray manual, my Mercruiser manual, and my Westerbeke manual and all three of them stress the importance of using only OEM parts.

FINE! I won't buy knockoffs from China, but for God's sake, list the DAMNED PART NUMBERS!!!

Ahem. Sorry. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you fine folks would know where I can find the following part numbers for my 8.1 Merc inboards and my 4.2BCG Westerbeke genny -

Engine Oil Filter
Fuel Filter
Zinc Packages
Impellers

And I think that's it - unless you guys have some other suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
Tim

Sure,
They're in the service manuals that you have to order at extra cost. All available on the respective vendor's web site.

Best regards,
Frank

Not all part numbers are in the service manual. You have to take your engine serial number and drop it into the Mercruiser website and get the list of parts.

You can always go to the MM service counter there in Pompano..they are very helpful, and I usually buy my filters from them; and my plugs online. (also buy a sea spare kit online for my generator-but it is a Kohler)...You can probably find the same for your generator

Thanks Barry! I'll definitely go there tomorrow. I never knew they sold parts there retail. That's great.

Glad to help Tim...They are good guys there and you can call first and ask them to look up the parts and give you the costs etc.. The parts department is with the service department in a smaller building that is next to the SeaRay showroom.
