Trying to determine if Sea Ray wired a Solenoid in the wiring to the Key Switch located in the Head area. I have a 1989 340 Bridge and so far in 2 weeks I replaced the switch twice. Anyone have an idea where a solenoid may be found if there is even one used? The pump works with no problem as I wired it directly to the battery to test. No drag on it, runs as normal. The OEM switch worked with no problems for 2 years that I have owned it, now its eating them!

I may be wrong but I think it is wired direct. Check all connections. One time I had a ground connection bad on the macerator itself. it's a boat!!!

I think your right as I cannot find any solenoid or even a fuse in the circuit. I think the Amp rating on the OEM switch was at least a 15A switch and my replacement may have been only 5A so I ordered a heaver rated switch to try again. I checked what ground I could but the wires go into a harness and runs up forward by the starboard engine and from that point I lose track of it.
