Hi Guys and Gals,

I purchased a LMF200 and fuel flow sender off BOE Marine, The link for installing a network is not working on the Lowrance website. I asked Jim but he hasn't answered?
My question is: As I only want to use the network for fuel flow info is it ok to wire the network power to the ignition circuit (key on) and do away with the network switch Lowrance states is required?

Will the gauge remember my settings when ignition is turned off?

And before you laugh at fitting a fuel flow meter to a V6.... $8.50/Gal here and that is the cheapest it's been in months.

You need the 12volts to power the network so any source will work. You may get some interference on the ignition wire but I would think it would be minimal. When I connected mine I used the accessory switch and haven't had any issues getting information to/from the VHF.

The on/off for the network is to prevent the network from running your batteries down. The key is fine but once you stop the boat and turn the key off you won't be able to read the data, you might want to connect it to the aux switch.

Thanks guys, I will only be running the gauge for fuel flow so not to worried about the display, nothing else on Annie is lowrance compatible.
I guess it has an internal memory?

The fuel used/remaining are stored even with power off.

Thanks Terri, now I just need time to install it.

My electrician put the network power on the accy switch in the dash board. I think a switch is a good idea even if its not absolutely necessary .

I installed the gauge and fuel flow yesterday. This is one complex gauge and I can't figure out how to get all the other info showing on the network.
The manual shows it is capable of showing Batt voltage, Alternator voltage etc. I have read the manual front to back X5 and it doesn't say what I need to get these readings. I realize I need different probes for speed, temp etc.
Is there any Lowrance experts out there that can explain?
