Looking for a lowrance 3500. Mine finally died. Do not want to pull the boat to change the transducer. Does anyone know of what I can replace the 3500 with that would work with the same transducer?

Unless you can find a used one someplace like eBay, or the boating forum classifieds; the hull truth, here on CSR, etc. You are out of luck. It’s kind of a BetaMax versus VHS kind of thing on the transducers. Lowrance used a frequency for their transducers that is no longer used (actually wasn’t in use in 2008 when I looked for a replacement for ours).

I don’t recognize your boat model so I can’t make an instant suggestion. Does your boat have accessible bilge? You might look into shoot through the hull transducers. If you are not familiar these, they have a housing That gets glued to the inside of the hull in the bilge. The housing is filled with liquid like the pink non toxic antifreeze. The cap of the housing is the actual transducer that is submerged in the antifreeze. The cost of these can be lower than the cost of hauling the boat, but of course that depends on your boat and local costs.

I have a Searay 270 Bowrider. Thank you for your input. Good to know.
