I'm sure this is the 11 teenth time this has been asked, so I apologize. Why would I all of the sudden be losing fluid out of the reservoir for the lower unit? Looks like it's coming out the top maybe around the cap. I know its vented and has fluctuations with the environmental conditions, but I'm stuck. Last year was no problem at all, but on a long run up Lake it will alarm and the bilge has oil in it. Oil appears clean and free of water. 260 DA, 454 MPI, 600 hrs. Bravo 3

I appreciate you guys.

I had this issue last year on my Port engine reservoir. I believe threads on the filler neck get worn down(or stripped) a bit coupled with vibration lets fluid out the top. I was finding small puddles in the bilge. The cap would only tighten so far then loosen. Since your leak is coming out the top around the cap, if you don't want to replace the whole plastic reservoir use some plumbers tape on the filler neck and problem solved!

I am assuming yo are getting a low fluid alarm???
It may be a simple as crack in the reservoir, or bad seal where the low sensor is on the bottom of the reservoir, or a bad hose connection.

Start by only keeping the reservoir half full.

With a dry bilge and oil all cleaned up on the reservoir area, try to see where its leaking after a short trip.

I just ordered a whole new assembly. Feeling kinda like an idiot right now too. I just found the rubber o ring that goes inside the cap, on top of the first battery...dang it!! It could have been a dumb 10 cent problem
