I'm in the process of replacing the lower shift cable on my Alpha 1 Gen 2 outdrive. I have about 95% of the cable pulled out and the remainder will not come out. I can see the tape I put on the cable holding a drag wire but it will not come out. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is hanging up? Should I use a ratchet strap to pull it out? Any answers would be appreciated.
