im a first time boat owner. had the boat for about 6 weeks now and me and my family are lovin it so far. my question is that im noticing a light vibration at low speed, low rpm especialy when turning full right or left with the wheel. the boat is in great shape, 260hrs on it and have all records of work done from the local marine max. service manager said boat was maintained perfectly by previous owner. not sure if i should worry or if its normal? thanks

Have you had the props checked?

i havent had the prop checked but its less than a year old and visualy looks like it has never been dinged.

I call that noise a "growl" when the wheel is hard left or hard right. It happens because of the angle of the u-joint in your outdrive. All three of my Sea Rays did that. If you don't have the noise at idle with the wheel turned and or if the noise goes away as you begin to straighten out the wheel then I wouldn't worry about it.

mine has only 142 hours on it and it does the same thing. I even went as far to take the lower unit off. U-Joints were perfect. I regreased everything and reassembled it. It was quieter, but still there all the same.

So do what my wife told me to do:

Go faster
turn up the music
relax
have a drink
