Low power, Broken spark plug

So the boat has been in the shop going on over 40 days now. they have the heads at the machine shop and say they're going to clean the fuel injectors. I hope that is all that is needed.

Did the mechanic specify a problem or is he just trying some things?

The mechanic says that he did a leak down test and cylinders 1 did not hold pressure. he removed the heads to inspect and found the valves in cylinder 1 to be bent. Says it was caused by the heat buildup from running lean. He did a flow test on the injectors. he hasn't told me yet what the results were of that teas but went on to say that the heads were sent to the machine shop and were now back at his place. he has been working on putting things back together but has lost all of his mechanics and it is now just him. It is taking waaaaay to long for this job but I don't want to pressure him and the job not be done right.

Congrats on getting the boat repaired and ready to go. From what you've wrote, the damage from running lean was all repaired. However, did your mechanic find what cause the engine to run lean; cool-fuel paint issue clogging injectors? Now that the top end of the engine has been rebuilt, it would be terrible to think that the root cause has not been resolved and running lean continues and your back at the start...
