Lost My Best Friend

My sincerest condolences on the passing of your Dad, it is never an easy time when we lose a parent or sibling. I am certain that he will still be with you in spirit when you take your boat out on the water and he will live forever in your heart.

Very sorry to hear of your loss, that is indeed a difficult one.

I'm so sorry. I lost my Mom a couple of years ago from a heart attack, so I know exactly what you are going through. I can only say, the sadness you're feeling will ease over time. There will be good days and bad days, just know the pain does get better. I'm so sorry.

Really sorry. My grandmother pased away yesterday. Life is short, enjoy every second of it if you can.

Akbassking & Quint,
My deepest condoleces to you both. I lost my father years ago when he was 58 and more recently my grandparents. It's never easy, just gotta keep on keeping on! God bless!

Sorry to hear of both of your losses AK & Quint. I lost my father three years ago and know the pain. God bless.

Very sorry that you lost your dad. Sounds like you have great memories to hang onto. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family.

Man, sorry to hear that, it breaks my heart to hear those words. My Dad passed away three years ago at 54 due to cancer, and I still think of him every day. The hurt is less, and you'll figure out how to smile more when you think of him. You're in a difficult time, but it will get better.

AK and Quint - I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My family and I will pray that you both get through the hurt of the loss and that you never lose the memory.
AK when I first read that your dad (your best friend) died. I wish I could explain the sadness I felt inside. I lost my dad back in the 90's. I can still remember my mom calling me and telling me about his passing. I sat down and I cried. My wife asked me what was wrong and I told her. I could see the puzzled look upon her face. You see I only met my dad once when I was about ten years old. But I cried. I just cried again when I heard about your dad. Since then I have lost my mom and my grandmother. Quint - my heart goes out to you as well. Not just because we both have lost a dear loved one. It's we both like others share the same pain.
Last Christmas my youngest son (35) was very upset about us not being together at Christmas. He said something that was very profound to me - "Dad, how many more Christmas's to we have left". How many? How many summers, winters, boat rides, how many.
AK and Quint I hope you don't mind that I have rattled on but know we, in my house, and here at CSR are with you. May God bless you and your families........
Todd thanks for the music -

I love that picture. He's got a certain gleam in his eye that says he loved life.

It is fit and proper that you rename your boat with your Dad in mind.

Wishing you all fair winds and following seas.

Very sorry for your loss, may God be with you and your family during this difficult time.
