Lost anchor - 290 Sundancer

Fellow Boaters,

Can anyone supply me with a wholesaler to buy the anchor, rode and line? I was setting my anchor yesterday at one of our favorite spots by the mouth of the lake when the rope broke losing the whole set-up. Since we were in shallow water 5-6 ft. I tried to find it, but to no avail it has been dedicated to the sea. When I purchased the boat about 2 years ago, I should have inspected the line and maybe I may had noticed that it may have required replacement. Definitely, a lesson learned.

You can find what you need in many places from West Marine to Wal-Mart depending on the specifics you require. If it were me and you didn't need it for a week I'd look on-line and specifically eBay.

imtra.com has factory replacement chain/rope . I replaced my earlier this spring and was having a hard time finding 25ft of chain and rope. Kodiak 22lb anchor is what comes from the factory also.

You may have trouble getting another brand of anchor to seat properly in the chute. You may have to buy a Kodiak anchor. Some people have not been able to get other types of plow anchors to fit properly. South Coast Marine in FL is (or was) the only place that sold them. 727-573-4821
