We are going to SoCal tomorrow morning to look at a few boats including the following:

1996 450DA
1997 450DA
2003 410DA
1999 400DA

All of these have CATs and hopefully show pretty well. I figure we will happen across a few others while down there looking around. Maybe we will even look at Express Models (that would make NVJACKL happy).

Wish us luck!

Man that sounds like my kind of day, looking at 40' + Sea Rays!

I have my eye on a couple of 410's. That would be my pick out of all of those you are going to look at if its in nice shape.

Those are very different boats. I think the most important part is to know what you want. However, I think it's a good idea to chekc them all to norrow down your criteria and determine what doesn't work and features one model lacks from the other. I suggest to take your time and find exactly what fits your wish list. It's big and expensive move, so do your best to make the right choise.

Good luck and enjoy the "boat show".

Offer accepted! Surveys are on Tuesday so I will fly down to participate. Complete engine survey by Quinn CAT and hull survey by a recommended local surveyor. The deal should be done by week's end!

Congrats Ken! Sorry I never got back to you via PM... I've been busy with the holidays and wrapping up a couple of deals before the new year...

Who's doing your survey? Bunker Hill is one of the best down in that area. We have used him on several deals.

If you need/want help bringing her up the coast let me know or I have a couple of captains I can refer...

Merry Christmas!!!

Awesome! I hope all goes well on your Survey and Sea Trial! Pictures and Videos PLEASE! Our water is solid at the moment.

Jason, I spoke to Bunker Hill and he is tied up so I am using Doug Jones (Bunker's associate). I have Quinn scheduled to do the engine survey hopefully both Tuesday. If they can't work out schedules the hull survey will be Monday so I'll have to pay for a captain two different moves.

Any idea what a captain charges to run that far? I can run her up with a couple of old salts from the Sea Ray club that have done numerous trips up & down the coast. They were quick to offer when told I may take that run!

It looks like the 03 410 by the pic's...is that right? Comgrats, it's a nice looking boat!!

That is the '03 410DA. The blue stripe is growing on me and it will be better looking when I am done with her! I have a ton of pictures so I'll post a little at a time, kind of like a tease...

Doug Jones is very good as well. You should be happy with him. We have an excellent captain that lives up here and is from the Newport Beach area. He makes the trip both ways several times a year. He and I ran a 460 down to Newport earlier this year. He's $350/day plus expenses (air fare, meals, etc..) If you hire crew they are around $100/day plus expenses.

If we get a break in this weather we are taking Swine Knot down to Santa Cruz for the NYE weekend... Keeping my fingers crossed!

Merry Christmas ! ....Wow.

Congratulations! If I was on the west coast, I would volunteer as ship mate to get her up the coast!

Merry Christmas ! ....Wow.

Thanks! I will be excited after the deal is closed. Lots of coordination and work to do before then though!

Ken,
Nice boat and like the others can't wait to see more pics. You do have a lot to do plus the holiday season. Concentrate! When it is yours ENJOY!

Congrats on the boat - is that the Sea Ray Mediterranean Package. - There is one near me only a 380 - when cleaned up they look nice. Congrats on the new potential boat - just so you know us 320 owners are hostile toward those that leave our gang.
