Ok, we've had a 220 SEL for the past 4 years...
Usually were in 1-3 ft. chop... and were getting slammed and beaten all over.
The wife has finally said enough, and wants to upgrade to something that will handle 1-3 fters w/o an issue (and without going < 5 mph)
We've been looking at everything.
250SLX, 270SLX...
and even: 27' Fountain, 27' Formula, 26' Formula... 22 Pachanga
I'd like to stay Sea Ray.
Can anyone chime in on how a 250 SLX, 260 SD, or 22 Pachanga handles in non-calm water?
We've kinda decided that we want the following:
Large engine ( I like to go fast! )
Thru Hull Exhaust
Head on board
Swim pad is nice.
Anchor locker in front.
Ample seating
I can get a good deal on the Pachanga... but I dont think that's what were looking for (not much seating... climbing over the sunpad often's gonna not be good, no easy way to bow anchor...)
In order to get a 250 or 270 SLX, I'd have to travel about 5 hours... (and I have yet to even test drive it...)
So can anyone give me a little feedback on these boats?
Pro's / Con's...
Thanks!
