Hi, Looking at spending 3 to 5 months' time w/ boat in the Florida Space Coast ( east coast) location with 20 yr olds & visiting family in Rockledge and Cocobeach area. Will need marina w/ restaurants near the beach area with music. Also will be parking large pick-up with slid in a camper so part outside storage needed marina must permit "live-on"
Thanks.
John

This is my home boating area.

Cocoa Village Marina is your best bet for nightlife and food as it’s right across from Cocoa Village. It’s also close to Rockledge. Not very close to Cocoa Beach though, and I doubt they have room for a camper.

Harbortown Marina on the Barge Canal is nice, and can probably accomodate the camper. It has a good restaurant with some music on the weekends.....it’s not a guarantee though.

In the Port you have a ton of restaurants and bars, usually with music. You’d be looking at Cape Marina. I’m not sure about the camper there, you’d have to call. Their facility and yard is pretty big so it may be possible. You could always put the camper at Jetty Park but it is a few miles from Cape Marina.

There’s really no marinas in Cocoa Beach. Depending on the size of the boat you “may” be able to get into Island Time Marina or Sunset Bar and Grill, but the water is pretty skinny.

Had an aunt that lived in Titusville spent a lot of time there as a kid ,just started to look for property in that area seems to be pretty reasonable saw a few marinas-and a yacht club not too far north of the Cape , seems like an underrated area except for the long trek to get into the ocean through the locks not thrilled about having to go through the locks.

+1 on everything here - spot on

Thanks.
I do like the looks of Harbortown Marina, they have a large yard a promote RV / Boat storage. The price seems reasonable and they charge for live-ons / My family who boat out of Rockledge says the only issue is it takes him over an hour to get to Cape Canaveral due to manatee 5 MPH zone through the whole Barge canal... but I guess it keeps the marina nice and calm...

I think that all been helpful up north, Thanks again... So, now also looking around Restaurant Grills Riverside down in Melbourne, It was a great place, the area seemed fun... but not sure about Marinas there and the beaches which I understand are over the bridge at Sattelite beach and Melbourn Beach...Thanks

Let me lnow if theres anything you want me to check out for you personally. We live in Satellite Beach and our store is in Titusville. Not terribly knowledgeable about marinas yet though - just now getting back into boating in FL.

With the 250 though, you could get back to one of my favorite bars (Frigate's). On the river is Grill's, River Rocks, and Squid Lips...all docks and great eats.

Head a little further south to Sebastian where I grew up, spend a couple days one weekend at Capt Hirams, across from the inlet. Or, Capt Butchers is a little more peacefull. Several decent restaurants.

We port in Savannah, and we are planning a family trip a month or so down there next spring, 8 at this time. The ICW is nice around that area. We'll start down out and come in as we get closer. Looking forward to it.

Have a safe journey amd enjoy.

Thanks.

I dry store mine at Harbortown. It's an awesome marina; great restaurant, service. Fair pricing. It's no wake through the canal but you can be in the river in 20 minutes.
