Isn't it on the side of the engine? Take the cover off and look - it should be there.

Unfortunately its not in the engine cowling. Looked last year when I did the mainetanance and again this year and cant find it. Wondering if this boat doesnt have one at all. I did look in the back under the seats in the compartments but nothing and peeked in the hull where the bildge is but did not see it. Will have to take a better look in the spring as its stored for the harsh winters in the NorthEast.

Thanks for the feedback

It's definitely not in the boat - that was never an option (at last not OEM).

What's your engine serial number? I know that the 200 Verado's I've seen do in fact have it on the engine.

I have also attached a picture of the motor as well.
Appreciate the feedback

The Merc info I have isn't as clear as I had hoped, according to your serial number. But it does point to having the fuel filter being engine mounted.

Pics WITHOUT the hood on would be better.... ;)

On my 2018 sdx 270 with the Verado, the motor mounted filter was deleted and an onboard spin on canister was installed at the factory. It is buried deep in the hull and I need to disassemble the storage shelves to access it. That is not documented anywhere that I ever found. So you could have a hull mounted one as well, hidden deep inside…

From the factory? Wow, first I've ever heard/seen that as well.

Yep. I ended up calling the factory after I took ownership because the castle filter under the cowl was not there. They sent me pictures of where the conversion kit was. Remove the shelving in the rear large storage are (where the IO motor would be), and on the transom there is the Merc factory spin on fuel filter/water sensor. It is a 35 minute project to change it….
