Looking for specs on these engines..1996 290 Sundancer

and they are the serpentine belt engines...I believe that makes them the later of the year or even 97's.

I just don't know.

I believe the LX is 205hp 4b carbs

How does she get up and run?

I had a 94 with a 7.4 and B3.

I'm curious if this one will get up easier and how comparable the fuel usage it?

Thx

Looking for another boat? It hasn't been that long since I picked up yours. Maybe we will see you guys at the Glenn soon

Well I will say that when you get a project going you do it right. Wish the boat had a genny but I will survive for now. Keep in touch and let me know what you find. If you need any help let me know.

You are correct Quint4, the LX is a 205 h.p. 4 bbl, had one in a sr 1995 180 back in the day.

All cleaned up and awaiting canvas....have both heads off the starboard engine. Badly bent pushrod and some rust up top. Nothing seems to be in the bottom end. All gaskets are good and the manifolds and risers are pretty new. Not sure what happened but I'm going to have both heads rebuilt and put it back together. Oh the fun.

Doesn't look like a bent push rod to me. Looks more like a fishing hook! Are you having the same guy do your canvas as you did the last one? Just rebuilt my windlass a few weeks ago. Need to polish it next. Just found out my polisher went south. Keep us posted on your progress.

Different guy this time. I actually had to go make an appointment when I pulled it home. This guy is in deland and has done my budies boats. He's a lot more reasonable.

I need to get carpet made also...such a PITA to cut and have bound.
