Hello - We have had a 74' SRV300 for the last 15 years, and she's been a wonderful boat. We boat on Lake Erie and do not really see too many of this type left on the water....if there are any of you out there - we are looking at refitting/repowering her for the next 15 and looking for input on any others who have already been there/done that.

"Scott Free" is somewhat unusual in that she has I/O's and most of these vintage we've seen are IB's.

I've done the refit on my 300 Sport Bridge over the last two years. It's better than new. Look forward to hearing about yours.

Hey Scott,

Mines a '76 with 1000 hours on the I/B's that were put in her in '89. Mines a bitch, as I have the sliding glass doors that have to be removed to yank the power. I've just got the outside up to spec, and this winter (When it is only in the 70's during the day) I hope to complete the interior. I figure sometime in that time frame one will pop, then I have to decide whether to do both at once or together. Luckily there a group down here that redoes pretty decent longblocks for about $2300 each.

Anyway let us know how you fare!

John

Yikes! I can get one built and balanced for around a grand here. (SBC)

That's a real decent price. The 350's down here are running $1400. Unfortunately the P/O decided to stuff 7.4's in this one when he had it redone in '89. The price for a long block 454 jumps considerably here..... Oh well, gas was cheap back then.... ;-)
