As the title says, I'm looking for recommendations for a mechanic south of Boston. This would be for merc 5.0s with Bravo III outdrives. I used a guy last winter, who seemed pretty good, but doesn't like working on IOs and doesn't like it that I prefer to do winterization and other easy stuff myself. I can sort of understand the whole not wanting to be responsible for any mistakes I make, but paying $100+ an hour to change oil and zincs etc.. just seems absurd and basically would end up doubling my yearly maintenance costs. Unfortunately, I've talked to a few mechanics around here, and the norms seems to the same. I was spoiled by my last boat, being smaller and simpler, I was able to do all the work on it myself for the 4+ years I owned it. This boat is more complicated though and for other reasons, I just don't have time to do everything myself anymore. If I can't find someone willing to work with me, I'll probably go back to something smaller I guess. So anyway, let me know if there is anyone good in the area who is reasonably flexible. PMs are fine.

Thanks in advance!
