I put a good sized gouge in my gelcoat from a nail that was sticking out of some dock fendering.

I am looking for a source of gelcoat that is my boats original color, yellow and off-white. I tried the Sea Ray website but did not see any factory colored gelcoat listed there. My local MarineMax is out of business now and the closest one is hundreds of miles away. I would like to avoid having to make a guess at the correct color by mixing different tints. Also, my hull has no sun fading, its been out of the sun pretty much its entire life.

Thanks,
David

Spectrum colors. You can google them, or search on this site, too. They'll have what you want. Are there any other SR dealers near you? It's something we normally stock, so I'm just assuming most SR dealers would, too.

David,

Get your HIN number and send an email to Sea Ray customer service and ask for the Sea Ray part number for the gelcoat color. Then you can call Spectrum and they will cross reference SR's number with their color scheme. Sea Ray colors of the same name are not always the same color. There are a number of different shades of 'Arctic White' for example. You may, or may not need to do it given the age color of your boat, but it will insure the best match possible.

Then take a read of the 'Spectrum Rocks' thread for a very informative how to on using repair gelcoat.
