We usually hang out/anchor around Lake Lanier Islands but I'd like to explore the North East part of the lake next weekend (and find a good cove to stay overnight on the hook). Anyone have experience (recent experience from a water level standpoint) navigating up that way? For example, say I'm starting at Brown's Bridge and heading up either the Chestatee River or instead towards Little River/Chatahoochee. The goal is to find someplace very private, not very populated but not risky in terms of water hazards. Which way (and how far can I go in that direction?) is less populated and also are there any hazards (due to the lake level) that I need to be aware of? Since I'm not familiar with these waters I don't want to go anywhere tricky and risk hitting something.

Jason
