Looking for a Mentor, lol

Thanks for all of the replies! All very good advice. I'll start posting questions when I start digging into the boat I'm going to make a list of things that I see that I don't know what to do with.

But here's the 1st question I have. As you walk down into the cabin there's a small step with a small trash can under it. If you lift out the trash can there is what appears to be a clear box with a bilge pump in it? What exactly is that? And there is a red wire with an in line fuse that has been severed. Obviously needs to be reattached.

That is your shower sump... water from the floor drain in the head drains in there and is then pumped overboard through hull side fitting. If you have air conditioning, the condensation pan drain is also plumbed into this box.

Perfect, the little wire is the power and needs to be spliced back together.

So I was able to go by the boat today and take some pictures of which I kind of need explanations for, can't find anything in the manual about operation. 1st up is this thing. I know it is a charger but i'm not assuming anything. It only charges when plugged into shore power correct? And this has nothing to do with the inverter?

Correct, a two bank battery charger... sometimes referred to as an AC converter. Only charges the batteries when on shore power or when the generator (if equipped) is running.

So he were go. Gonna post some pictures with labels. Thanks in advance for info.

I know that 2 is the float switch for 1 the bilge pump. What is number 3? Looks like it goes thru the hull?

#3 looks like a through hull transducer for a depth finder.
Need to get them leaves cleaned up... they will foul up your float switch and or pump!

Makes sense. I know this is elementary stuff for a lot of you. Believe me, ....i'm gonna pay it forward when I can completely make a video tutorial of all this stuff. And yes, plan on a thorough cleaning of this compartment.

Next up...I know this is the main battery switch for turning on main power. And what appears to be a breaker box. What's puzzling me is none of the breakers can be manually flipped?

Yes, fairly common... breakers, not switches. They can only be turned back on (reset) after they trip.

Ok, now I have no idea.
This tank 2 is on the starboard side. I don't think's it's fresh water but the hoses confuse me.

1 is a seacock thru the hull.
3 & 4?
If it's waste water why is there an outlet thru the hull? I thought waste water had to be pumped out? And if it is waste water....uuhm.... there's some in there.....

Indeed... #1 is a sea cock... it appears that there is no handle to open it (assuming it's closed). That's legal.
#2 is a waste holding tank (looks half full)
#3 is a macerater pump
#4 looks like an air conditioner pump

Waste water can be pumped overboard if you are at least 3 miles offshore. When you are in waters other than that, the sea cock has to be locked or otherwise disabled. Removing the handle is sufficient.
You should have a deck plate marked "Waste" for pumping it out.

Yes I saw the deck plate marked waste water, so ok.

If 4 is an AC pump, the black hose coming out of it goes across to this 3 then to another seacock. 1 should be my fresh water tank. Is that just for the AC condensation?

Yes, #1 appears to be the fresh water tank.
#2 is the sea cock for the water intake for the air conditioner (A/C).
#3 is the sea strainer.
The white hose coming out of the A/C pump will go to the A/C unit. They use the sea water to exchange heat. The condensation from the A/C will drip to a pan under the unit and drain into your shower sump.

I think I have a manual on how to operate the head. I'll check there first for that.

Now, I have AC outlets in the cockpit and I think in the cabin. Is it safe to assume I have an inverter somewhere?

Not necessarily, could be only active when on shore power.

The circuit breakers in the power panel might also switch off, try pushing the switch in and let it snap out. This is how mine work. Push in for on, push in for off.
