Looking for a marine surveyor.

+1 to Dennis. I had him survey Beachcomber and he did a good job and wrote a good report. Let me suggest that you meet with him ahead of time to make sure you are both on the same page as to what your level of experience is, what your expectations are from the survey, etc. If you're buying a gas engine boat, do yourself a favor and pick up spark plugs to replace the ones he removes when he does compression tests. That saves you from having to do it yourself later on.

What kind of boat are you looking at, and is it from a private party or a dealer? If it's the same dealer I bought mine from use caution because every word they say will turn out to be a lie. PM me if you want and I'll let you know the name of my salesman and the dealer.
