I'm getting real close to buying not only my first Sea Ray, but my first boat. I'm looking at an '04 Sport 185 I/O. The versatility appeals to me, and my boating friends all tell me that I can't go wrong with Sea Ray or the 4.3 L motor. Looking forward to becoming part of "the family"!

Thanks, mwph. Actually, I'm not so young. My user name comes from my 30 years with a railroad. All I've ever done is work. We'll be retiring in two years and we're trying to be ready for it. We purchased a park model home at a campground near here last year. It's on a wide, very deep creek 5 miles from a river. We hope to use the boat for cruising the waterfront, slinging the grandkids about, socializing, and a little fishing.
How do you like your boat?

Choo Choo,

I started boating four years ago, with my first being a Sea Ray. Now I'm on my third!! It's a love affair you'll never regret. Best of luck and welcome aboard!!

Sorry about the young man comment. Your desire to enjoy "the versatility of a 185 sport" threw me I guess. I just pictured a skiing, wake boarding kind of thing.

As for me; My wife and I enjoy our boat and the time spent at the marina very much. I'm sure you will too. You have found the best site on the internet for Sea Ray & boating information in general. So again, Welcome to CSR!

Great boat.

Welcome Choo Choo!! Enjoy your new purchase. Your friends were right, You can't go wrong with a Sea Ray. I had my 1st (a 260 DA) for 22 years and am now on my second one. I don't expect to stop at this one either!!

Welcome. Where in NC are you?

Welcome to boating, Sea Ray's are first class....Been boating since 1950's...Quality boats, those sea rays...Enjoy..

Welcome aboard!

My family and I started boating together last year for the first time and bought a Sea Ray. Nothing but quality and lots of good compliments from friends. We haven't regretted our decision for a single day.

Enjoy!

Choo Choo Man-

Our previous was a 185, and found it to be a really great boat. Very easy to handle, trailer, maintain, etc. The 4.3 is a strong engine that will push that boat around well.

Welcome to the Sea Ray family!

HI! Everyone I'm new to this forum. We are from Quebec Canada, and just bought last week a 2006 240 Sundancer (pewter) with mag 350 br3. This boat is like brand new only 96 hrs. I knew tha Searay were near top of the line boats but everything on this boat is top brands.
We had a 1998 185 Doral open deck.

Welcome aboard
