Just got back from the Long Beach CA boat show and looked at the 08 310da. Wow now I have the itus.:smt021 Still tow able but can sleep 6 down stairs with out any problems. One of the problems for me being a big guy as I looked at the 280, 290, which are still tow able, was that they didn't really increase the down stairs size because of the fixed sitting area. Of course all you 320 and 340 owners will say you have all that but they keep the 310 at 10'5" on the beam so it can be towed around here.

Overall Length : 33' 4" / 10.16 m
Beam : 10' 5" / 3.18 m
Draft - Stern Drive Down : 39" / 99.06 cm
Draft - Stern Drive Up : 29" / 73.66 cm
Draft (V-Drive) : 35" / 88.90 cm
Dry Weight : 14,000 lbs / 6,350 kg
Fuel Capacity : 200 gal / 757 L
Usable Fuel : 180 gal / 680 L
Water Capacity : 35 gal / 132.5 L
Holding Tank : 28 gal / 106 L
Gray Water Tank : 28 gal / 106 L
Dead Rise : 21° / 21°

Any one else see this boat yet?

I like the 310DA as well BUT it has a showstopper for me and that is the fact it doesn't have a port lounger or a port seat like the 320DA and the new 330DA have. In the end, I guess that's a personal choice but it is an important feature to have for both me and my wife.

We have a 2007 310 and love it. However, we do not trailer her, so can't be of much help on that front. It does technically sleep six, but it would have to be a bunch of kids. The "couch" is (guessing) about 5 feet.

Was going from the 240 to 310 a big difference for your family in space and size. How many do you sleep on it? On our 260 you can only have one person standing down below, but while on the 310 both the salesman and I could move around down below.

We have been looking at the 310DA as a step up from our 240SD but as someone pointed out the angeled bed can be a problem. I liked it angled as it looks like it was bigger but someone pointed out that the person on the back side of the bed would have to climb over or have the other person move if they needed to get up for anything. So now we are back to figureing out what we want.

You bring up a good point. I think I'll take the wife to go see one and try that out. Seems that the inside person could exit at the end without disturbing there mate. (?) Maybe Scappare can chime in on this one. I just like how roomy it is.

There was absolutely no comparison between the 240 and the 310...tons of more room down below (and topside), no stooping over, two people can walk by each other, etc. Yesterday, I was watching the Pats on TV with the table set up while she was cooking.

As far as the bed, my wife is 5'10" and I'm 6' so the length of the bed is fine, yes it is angled so when my wife gets up she goes over me. We are fine with it, but try it out before you buy.

Hey Scappare-
Where did you end up getting your 310 Sundancer? My cousin is seriously looking at upgrading to this from his 260 Sundancer, and is thinking about keeping it in Narrangansett Bay as well. What options did you get, and what options did you wish you got? I am sure he would love to PM you for pricing, etc if you would not mind sharing the info.
